Avatar : La Voie de l’Eau domine les nominations des Saturn Awards 2024

Avatar : La Voie de l’Eau de James Cameron et Oppenheimer de Christopher Nolan sont en tête des nominations cinématographiques et Star Trek : Picard de Paramount+ a obtenu le plus de nominations télévisées ce mercredi 6 décembre pour la 51e édition des Saturn Awards, qui se déroulera en 2024. Disney récolte en tout cette année 71 nominations (dont deux partagées avec Sony).

Les nominations des Saturn Awards 2024

Les Saturn Awards, qui honorent le meilleur du divertissement de genre au cinéma et à la télévision, sont organisés par l’Académie de science-fiction, fantastique et horreur. Les gagnants seront annoncés le 4 février 2024 lors d’une cérémonie au Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel de Los Angeles et seront diffusés en direct sur ElectricNow.

La suite d’Avatar de Disney et Lightstorm a remporté 12 nominations au total, soit deux de plus que le premier volet. Le film figure dans les catégories du meilleur film de science-fiction, du meilleur acteur dans un film (Sam Worthington), de la meilleure actrice dans un film (Zoe Saldana),  du eilleur acteur dans un second rôle dans un film (Stephen Lang) et du meilleur jeune interprète dans un film (Jack Champion), ainsi que dans les catégories de réalisation et de scénario pour James Cameron et des partenaires scénaristes Rick Jaffa et Amanda Silver.

Côté télévision, si les séries Star Trek : Picard et Star Trek : Strange New Worlds sont grandes favorites, la série Star Wars : Andor de Lucasfilm récolte cinq citations (tout comme The Last of Us de HBO), dont celle du meilleur acteur (Diego Luna).
