L’association américaine GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation – « Alliance gay et lesbienne contre la diffamation ») a annoncé ce 18 janvier 2023 les nominés pour sa 34e édition des GLAAD Media Awards. Plusieurs œuvres de Disney sont mentionnées cette saison dont les derniers films d’animation Buzz l’Éclair et Avalonia, l’Étrange Voyage.
49 nominations pour Disney aux GLAAD Media Awards 2023
GLAAD est le plus grand groupe de défense des personnes LGBTQ au sein des médias américains et hispaniques (de tout type), et ses prix récompensent les personnalités et les médias qui représentent la communauté LGBTQ dans leurs productions et leurs actions. Les nominés sont choisis pour leur audace et leur originalité, leur impact et leur qualité globale.
Les nominés GLAAD Media Awards de cette année 2023 concernent des œuvres ou personnalités qui se sont distinguées entre le 1er janvier et le 31 décembre 2022. 295 œuvres ont été nominées dans 33 catégories différentes, y compris les nouvelles catégories de podcast exceptionnel et de journalisme télévisé en direct – segment ou spécial.
Le prix Barbara Gittings pour l’excellence des médias LGBTQ sera décerné au Los Angeles Blade et au Washington Blade, reconnaissant leurs contributions au développement des médias LGBTQ. Nous ne citerons ici que les catégories anglaises.

Les cérémonies de remise des prix des GLAAD Media Awards auront lieu le 30 mars 2023 au Beverly Hilton de Los Angeles et le 13 mai au Hilton Midtown de New York.
