Fans des aventures de l’équipage de l’Orville, aucune saison 4 n’est à l’ordre du jour pour le moment mais en attendant une annonce postive (on l’espère), voici un petit cadeau… La bande originale de l’excellente série The Orville : New Horizons (en réalité, saison 3 de The Orville) a été publiée par Hollywood Records et est maintenant disponible sur toutes les plateformes de streaming dédiées à la musique.

L’album contenant pas moins de 72 pistes comprend plus de quatre heures et demie de musique de la série de science-fiction (nominée aux Emmy Awards), y compris deux nouveaux arrangements et des performances de certains acteur de la série sur des tubes tels que « Flowers Never Bend With the Rainfall » (Simon & Garfunkel) interprété par Scott Grimes et Anne Winters, et « Secret O’ Life » (James Taylor) interprété par Scott Grimes.
La musique de The Orville : New Horizons Original Television Soundtrack a été composée par des pointures, à savoir Joel McNeely (les films de la saga La Fée Clochette, Albert à l’Ouest ou encore le spectacle Disney Dreams ! à Disneyland Paris), John Debney (Hocus Pocus et sa suite, Iron Man 2, Kuzco, l’Empereur Mégalo ou encore Phantom Manor à Disneyland Paris), Andrew Cottee et Kevin Kaska (Ghost Party) et enregistrée avec le Hollywood Studio Symphony au sein de l’historique Newman Scoring Stage aux Fox Studios par l’ingénieur du son oscarisé Shawn Murphy.
De plus, le compositeur Bruce Broughton (Silverado, L’Incroyable Voyage, Bébé Part en Vadrouille, Bernard et Bianca au Pays des Kangourous ou encore les attactions Le Visionarium – Un Voyage à Travers le Temps et Soarin’ Around the World) a écrit et enregistré une nouvelle version de son thème principal de The Orville pour cette saison.
